The number
All OpsPing voice alerts call from +1 (617) 468-7354. If a voice alert hangs up before you answer, call it back — it replays the alert message. The number plays a spoken alert summary and never asks for personal information or credentials.
Only trust this number. OpsPing will never call you from any other number for alerts. If someone claiming to be OpsPing calls from a different number asking for passwords, keys, or payment details, hang up and report it to [email protected].
iPhone — let it break through everything
iOS ignores silent mode and Do Not Disturb for a contact only when Emergency Bypass is on. It is a per-device, per-contact setting that a downloaded contact card cannot carry — set it once on each phone you carry on call:
- Import the contact card above (or create a contact named OpsPing Voice Alert with +1 (617) 468-7354).
- Open Contacts → OpsPing Voice Alert → Edit.
- Tap Ringtone → enable Emergency Bypass → choose a loud, distinct ringtone → Done.
- Tap Text Tone → enable Emergency Bypass → Done (covers SMS alert channels if you enable them).
- Done to save. Test with a real voice alert from your OpsPing Channels screen.
Emergency Bypass beats Silent switch, Do Not Disturb, Focus modes, and Sleep Focus. The phone rings and the vibration plays even on a fully silenced device.
Android — starred contact exception
Android breaks Do Not Disturb for your starred contacts:
- Import the contact card above (or save OpsPing Voice Alert with +1 (617) 468-7354).
- Open Contacts → OpsPing Voice Alert → star it (★ Favorite).
- Settings → Sound & vibration → Do Not Disturb → People → Calls → Starred contacts.
- Under Messages, leave defaults; starred-contact calls now ring through Do Not Disturb.
Menu names vary slightly across manufacturers (Samsung: Settings → Notifications → Do not disturb → Calls, messages and conversations → Calls from starred contacts only). On top of DND, disable Call screening / Spam protection for this contact if your carrier flags unknown numbers — a saved contact is normally exempt.
FAQ
Why does a contact card help?
Both platforms key their do-not-disturb exceptions on the caller's number. A contact with Emergency Bypass (iOS) or a starred contact allowed through DND (Android) rings even when nothing else does — exactly the behavior you want for a paging system.
Does push replace this?
Push is the primary alert channel and OpsPing's mobile app already breaks through DND on both platforms using native critical alerts (iOS) and a Media-stream alarm (Android). The voice call is the fallback when push cannot reach you — worth configuring for anything you are the primary on-call for.
Will the number change?
If we ever add or change voice numbers, we update this page and the contact card first. Today there is exactly one: +1 (617) 468-7354.
