How the app works
- A meeting participant authorizes the app and requests it for a specific meeting.
- The app joins as a participant named Transcription Bot, with video off and microphone muted.
- The meeting host receives Zoom's standard recording-permission prompt; audio is captured only after the host approves.
- When the meeting ends, the app produces a transcript and delivers it to the requesting participant's designated endpoint.
Common questions
How do I stop the bot? Remove it from the meeting like any participant, or decline the recording prompt — without host permission it captures nothing. It leaves automatically when the meeting ends or when the authorizing participant leaves.
How do I revoke authorization? Zoom App Marketplace → your profile → Manage → Added Apps → remove Meeting Transcription Bot.
Where does my meeting data go? See the Privacy Policy. Processing is self-hosted by the operator; LTFI Tech, LLC runs no central collection server.
